LESSON 11 – THE MESSAGE OF THE ANGEL
Lesson 11 – The Shepherds and Baby Jesus
Baby Jesus was born! Since there was no room in the inn, Mary and Joseph placed Him in a manger—a little bed made of hay.
That night, something amazing happened! Some shepherds were taking care of their sheep in the fields. Suddenly, an angel appeared in the sky. A bright light from God shone all around them. The shepherds were very scared!
But the angel said, “Don’t be afraid! I bring you good news that will make everyone happy. Today, in the city of David, a special baby was born. He is the Savior—Christ the Lord!”
The angel also said, “You will find the baby wrapped in cloth and lying in a manger.”
Then many more angels appeared. They sang, “Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth to everyone!”
After the angels left, the shepherds quickly went to see the baby. They found Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus lying in the manger—just like the angel said.
The shepherds were so happy! They told everyone what the angel had said about the baby. People were amazed! But Mary stayed quiet and thought deeply about everything in her heart.

My Lord, give me grace to praise You along with the angels who always praise You.
