Lesson 8 – Tower of Babel (Genesis 11)
How many languages do you know? We can talk in some languages and write in some languages too. But during the time when Noah’s generation filled the earth, they had only one language and one speech.
In order to prove their greatness and make a name for themselves, they decided to build a city and a tower which touched the heaven in a place named Shinar. God came down to see the tower and city that the people were building.
God split their language so that they could not understand each other. They stopped the construction of the city. This place got the name Babel. God scattered the people all around the earth.
Therefore, we as children of God, should avoid arrogance and neglect. We should walk the path of God and get His blessings.
Bible Verse:
Genesis 11:1 — Now the whole earth had one language and a common speech.
My Decision:
I will not do anything without God. I will not be arrogant, instead I will obey His rules and get His blessings.
