CHRISTIAN DOCTRINES – FEAST
FEASTS
Feasting is a celebration that involves enjoying food and community, and can also refer to a day of celebration. Feasting can be a way to give thanks, remember an event, or celebrate with others.
A feast is not only to commemorate the benefits which we have got in the past but also to examine our present-day life and to make good decisions for the future to live under divine protection.
For the WST, a feast is for prayer and thanksgiving. According to WST, today we are celebrating different feasts like Christmas, Denaha (Baptism of Christ), Easter, Feast of Martyrdom of Apostles (Sleeha perunal), departing of St. Mary (Soonoyo Perunal), the feast of Cross (Sleeba perunnal), Commemoration of various saints and feast of parish patron saint etc. A feast is a renewal of our Christian life and praise and thanksgiving for all the blessings from God and for the examination of our personal life.
