LESSON 12: JESUS CALLS HIS DISCIPLES
Lesson 12 – Jesus Calls His Disciples
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” These were the powerful words Jesus preached to the people. His message was one of hope, calling everyone to turn away from sin and follow God’s path.

One day, as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew. They were fishermen, casting their nets into the water. Jesus looked at them with kindness and said:
“Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Without hesitation, they left their nets behind and followed Jesus. Their lives changed forever.
As Jesus continued walking, He saw two more brothers, James and John, the sons of Zebedee. They were sitting in a boat with their father, mending their fishing nets. Jesus called them, and immediately, they left their boat and their father to follow Him.

These four men—Peter, Andrew, James, and John—became the first disciples of Jesus. They chose to leave everything behind and dedicate their lives to following Him.
Jesus traveled throughout Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God, and healing people of all kinds of sicknesses and diseases. His love and power brought hope to everyone who heard Him.

Note to Teachers:
- The students must understand that everything we see is the creation of God, and that everything we have is a gift from Him.
- They should also understand that creation should not be loved more than the Creator. In other words, we must love God more than anything in the world.
